As
you probably are aware, our assessment visit went
very well. All of our classrooms were scored
between 88-99% and, overall, our program received
100% on a large majority of the standards.
Unfortunately, the committee was concerned about a
single incident that occurred earlier in the year
regarding supervision. We reported this incident
to the state and continue to be in good standing
with them. However, NAEYC felt that we should to
reapply in the coming school year.
Since our current accreditation is
expiring, we are no longer accredited. We feel
certain, however, that with the high quality of
our program and staff, we will successfully
complete this process next school year. Obviously,
we are disappointed, but have looked at this as an
opportunity to learn and improve and will continue
to offer you and your child a program that is of
the highest quality. If you have any questions,
please feel free to see me, Natalie or our new
director, Shela when she
starts after June
7.
