Director's Report

Dear Families-

It is hard to believe this year is almost over!  The children have learned and grown so much.  It is hard to imagine that they are the same little ones who came in last September. It is such a blessing to been able to be a part of this process!

Our amazing teachers have provided your children with many hands-on learning experiences.  They have spent the year planning, exploring, building, creating, and imagining.

I wanted to list a few of the Weekday Program accomplishments this year:

* New Director

* New Christian enhancement to curriculum

      * NAEYC Candidacy and Validation visit

* PTC raised over $9,000. to support the Weekday  Program Scholarship Fund and other equipment!

* Nomination of Ms. Kristy for Collin County AEYC    Teacher of the Year

* Nomination of Ms. Natalie for Collin County AEYC Supervisor of the Year

* CCMS funding and grant of $4200.

There are so many more accomplishments but our number one accomplishment is the growth and development of your child/ren.  Thank you to everyone involved in making this year very successful!

God Bless!

Summer Enrichment Ideas

The Weekday Program is the best place for your child to continue learning this summer, at least part-time.  However, if you do take vacations or a summer break, ensure they continue learning by using some of the following best practices:

1) Read to your child.

2) Play games with your child.

3) Go places with your child

4) Cook with your child.

Remember- It will be years before your child will fully understand the concepts of weight, measurement, time and temperature, but repeated exposure to these concepts and new vocabulary now will promote development of these skills.

Hopefully, we will see most of you this summer but if we don't, enjoy and come by and visit!
